How to crack it in six
Start with a word that covers the most common letters. Among everyday words, CERTAIN, REALIST, SALIENT, RELIANT, ROUTINE test the letters that seven-letter answers use most: E, R, A, I, T, N. Then read the board like a skeleton: vowels first, then the consonant pairs that fit between them (ST, CH, NT, PR). Endings like -ION, -ENT and -ATE are worth testing on purpose.
